What stood out the most were the slices of mackerel sashimi—something you can only enjoy when it's incredibly fresh—and the beautifully seared Katsuo Tataki, which you’d usually only find at upscale Japanese restaurants.
The recommended sake had a delicate and refined flavor, with a hint of sweetness on the finish that paired beautifully with the meal.
Everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the wonderful experience—I'll definitely be back!💕💕- Group size

One thing to be clear after reading the comments: I used my obvious Chinese name to make the reservation and it was one of the most pleasant dinner experiences I ever had, so highly suspect if personal here would be radical as some comments blaming.- Service

Fantastic japanese restaurant. Excellent service and authentic food. Dumplings are presented in a real original fashion. Rice bowl are fantastic and wakame salad hits the perfect balance of structure, salt and spicyness. 5/5!

A quaint little restaurant which serves a range of authentic Japanese fare. Highly recommend the Gyu-tan (grilled beef tongue) which is something quite rare here in the Japanese restaurants in Germany. The tuna belly (Otoro) was also really delicious!

I have a Japanese friend who is a discerning food snob, and she mentioned that in Munich, it's challenging to find authentic, affordable, and delicious Japanese cuisine, to which I agree completely. Then she found Haguruma, a hidden gem where every dish on the lunch menu is well-prepared. The sashimi is fresh, and dishes like tempura and teriyaki chicken bento set are authentically Japanese. I've mainly enjoyed their Chirashi, my favorite. When I took the first bite, it felt like tears of emotion welled up (a bit exaggerated), but my stomach did scream a bit for contentment.
The only hitch is the small kitchen, often requiring reservations, and the chefs might be a tad grumpy with loud children, as is common in many Japanese restaurants. And for dinner I am sure the food will be even better, just a bit more pricey and better go without kids.- Service

Authentic Japanese food that offers more than just sushi and ramen. I ordered the sabashio, which is grilled mackerel with a dollop of grated Daikon radish. It's a beloved favorite Japanese dish that is often eaten in a japanese home but i haven't found it served anywhere in other japanese restaurants in Munich. This is a real treasure I've found! The karaage, Japanese fried chicken, is also amazing. I've tried several places in Munich for karaage and this one is one of the best I've tried so far! The service is also really nice because the people are very polite. I also like the nice simple interior, japanese minimalism style. It's a small place but nice and cozy.Hague Ana is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Munich. You need to make a reservation before, it’s a really small place with 8 or 10 tables maximum. The food it’s very good!
We went there so many times because of the fantastic food. The Beto box of the lunch menu was awesome with good quality of food. Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in Munich.

The food was really nice. I ordered the chirasi set incl. Salad and green tea. The sashimi was varied and fresh. The worker there apologized at the beginning, saying that the food would come out a bit late, because they were out of worker. But apparently it was quiet fast. For baby owner: they have baby chair.

We came because of the sushi and sashimi photos, but the menu had chashu Dom and ramen. BUT it was a super delicious tonkotsu ramen with a super rich broth, it was the best tonkotsu I had in Munich (and we are regular guests at ramen shops). We had tonkotsu misso and tonkotsu shoyu, both were super delicious, the chashu was perfectly seasoned and cooked to the right point. We also had Takoyaki and the price is reasonable compared to other restaurants here in Munich, each takoyaki had a lot of octopus pieces 🐙- Service

Very nice and stylish. The owners are genuine Japanese people that you can talk to in Japanese if you like, the food is tasty, and the portions are big. I ordered an entree and a main dish, and was barely able to finish both.

I've been coming here regularly for about a year and it's one of my favourite spots in town for sure. The quality of the fish is very good, portion size is just right, the service is excellent, and overall a great experience. If you're craving that authentic Japanese cuisine I very much recommend it!
